Jet Venturi scrubber

1.-Description: It is a wet-type and high-efficiency purifier, particularly appropriate when particles are sticky, flammable or highly corrosive.

2.- Ranges of design: According to the energy consumption for gas cleaning (gas velocity in the throat of the Venturi tube and specific water consumption), Venturi scrubbers can be:

     a) Low pressure.

     b) Medium pressure.

     c) High pressure.

3.- Applications: They are used primarily for cleaning flue gases from incineration of waste and processes which treat or recycle suspensions of high solids content, as for example, in ore processing, desulphurization, thermal power generation, among others.

4.- Benefits:

     a) Physical and chemical absorption.

     b) Cooling.

     c) Pre-separation.

     d) Removal of thick or coarse dust.

     e) Condensation.
